I taught biology at Haarlem High School in Haarlem from 1982 to 2019. Most days I taught the final-year class, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk. I coached the school's basketball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again. I'm still learning every day.
