I've been a nurse for 43 years, most of them in midwifery at Crown Children's Hospital in Dhaka. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I sing in a choir.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
