I've spent 15 years as a lecturer in materials science at Surabaya State University in Surabaya. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
Former students now work as a nurse and in a dozen other fields. It's the best part of this job.
More about Arief
I retired from full-time teaching but still mentor a few students a year.
What gifts mean to Arief: Gifts will go to a small travel fund for students presenting their first paper.
