I taught mathematics at Northside Middle School in Bandung from 1997 to 2016. Most days I taught primary school children, and I never turned anyone away.
I coached the school's basketball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Arief
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the planetarium, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
