Apio Nabirye Salim
Coached badminton for 36 years in Mbale
- 🇺🇬 Mbale, Eastern Region, Uganda
- Mbale Sports Club
- 1981 to 2017
- English
I coached badminton at Mbale Sports Club from 1981 to 2017. Most of my players were between 9 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I fix old bicycles.

You coached me in 1999. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from San Francisco.

I still think about the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard. Best summer of my life. Greetings from Kilkenny.
