Apio Joyce Swai
French and music teacher, Kasarani
- 🇰🇪 Kasarani, Nairobi, Kenya
- Kasarani Secondary School
- Since 1978
- English, Swahili
For 48 years I have been the French teacher at Kasarani Secondary School. I teach mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I've run the science fair after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I fix old bicycles.
More about Apio
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the farm, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
What gifts mean to Apio: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

You taught me French in 1995 at Kasarani Secondary School. I still remember the surprise birthday cake. Greetings from Lexington.

I was in your mixed-ability classes class in 1986. You believed I could do it before I did. Thank you again.
