Apio Imani Mrema
22 years teaching special education in Dodoma
- 🇹🇿 Dodoma, Dodoma, Tanzania
- Dodoma Secondary School
- Since 1987
- English, Swahili
For 39 years I have been the special education teacher at Dodoma Secondary School. I teach Year 7 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I've had 2,150 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Apio
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the mountains, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
