Aoi Sakura Sakai

Teacher at Fukuoka Academy, loves Spanish

For eight years I have been the Spanish teacher at Fukuoka Academy. I teach mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help. Outside the classroom I fix old bicycles. Inside it, I learn every name in the first week. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Aoi: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
