I'm a hockey coach. I never went pro, but I got to see 440 kids fall in love with the game.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Anyango
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Anyango: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
