Anyango Janet Salim
35 years teaching home economics in Jinja
- 🇺🇬 Jinja, Eastern Region, Uganda
- Jinja High School
- Since 2009
- English, Swahili
I came to teaching late, after working as a bus driver, and 17 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.

What gifts mean to Anyango: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
