I coached rowing at Kampala Community Club from 2015 to 2024. Most of my players were between 10 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
