Anwar Zaid Khoury
Songwriting player and teacher in Cairo
- 🇪🇬 Cairo, Cairo, Egypt
- Since 1980
- English, Arabic
I play songwriting and drums. I started in 1980 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 14 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I make terrible puns.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

What gifts mean to Anwar: I'd put a gift toward recording a small album.
