Anum Noreen Niazi
Thatching for 44 years in Rawalpindi
- 🇵🇰 Rawalpindi, Punjab, Pakistan
- Fairview Workshop
- Since 1982
- English, Punjabi
I've worked in thatching since 1982. I learned from my father and passed what I could on to 1,720 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
More about Anum
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Anum: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
