Anton Bauer
Master of painting and decorating, now teaching apprentices
- 🇩🇪 Nuremberg, Bavaria, Germany
- 1985 to 2018
- English, German
My trade is painting and decorating. I opened my own shop in 1985 in Nuremberg and I'm still there most mornings.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I never rush a conversation.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Anton: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
