Antoine Lemaire
Youth chess coach and mentor
- 🇫🇷 Lille, Hauts-de-France, France
- Windsor Sports Club
- 1984 to 1998
- English, French
I coached chess at Windsor Sports Club from 1984 to 1998. Most of my players were between 10 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.
More about Antoine
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Antoine: Anything sent will buy equipment for the junior team.
