I've coached chess at Mandeville Youth Club since 2014. Most of my players were between 8 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stay late on Thursdays for anyone who needs it.
I'm still learning every day.
What gifts mean to Anthony: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

You coached me in 2016. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Nairobi.
