I've coached tennis at San Diego Athletic Club since 1991. Most of my players were between 9 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never turn anyone away.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
What gifts mean to Anthony: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
