I taught English literature at Hillcrest Public School in Pune from 1994 to 2009. Most days I taught Year 9, and I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
Outside the classroom I garden badly but happily. Inside it, I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.

What gifts mean to Anil: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
