I've been a nurse for 47 years, most of them in dialysis at Pietermaritzburg Community Hospital in Pietermaritzburg. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I garden badly but happily.
