Andrea T. Blake
Master of blacksmithing, now teaching apprentices
- 🇯🇲 Half-Way Tree, Saint Andrew, Jamaica
- Old Rosewood Works
- 1979 to 2008
- English
I've worked in blacksmithing from 1979 to 2008. I learned from my uncle and passed what I could on to 1,040 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I carry a notebook everywhere.
More about Andrea
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Andrea: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
