I'm a chess coach. I never went pro, but I got to see 470 kids fall in love with the game.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I learned every name in the first week.
I'm still learning every day.
More about André
If you played for me, you probably remember the surprise birthday cake.
What gifts mean to André: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
