For 41 years I have been the special education teacher at Durban Middle School. I teach Grade 6 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I bake for the whole street at New Year. Inside it, I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the mountains, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
