Andi Sutanto
38 years teaching English literature in Surabaya
- 🇮🇩 Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia
- Sunrise Boys' School
- Since 1995
- English, Indonesian
I came to teaching late, after working as a farmhand, and 31 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I've had 1,300 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Andi
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Andi: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
