For ten years I ran the hockey program at Redwood Boxing Gym in Chennai. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Ananya
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Ananya: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
