I spent 35 years as a lecturer in organic chemistry at Rio de Janeiro Institute of Technology in Rio de Janeiro. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I sing in a choir.
