For 25 years I ran the rowing program at Hanoi Riverside Swimming Club in Hanoi. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
