Amparo R. Benítez
Youth chess coach and mentor
- 🇪🇸 Madrid, Madrid, Spain
- Starlight Boxing Gym
- Since 2007
- Spanish
For 19 years I've run the chess program at Starlight Boxing Gym in Madrid. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I'm always reading two books at once.
More about Amparo
If you played for me, you probably remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam.
What gifts mean to Amparo: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
