Amparo A. Ávila
36 years teaching design and technology in Barranquilla
- 🇨🇴 Barranquilla, Atlántico, Colombia
- Barranquilla Academy
- 2009 to 2018
- Spanish
Barranquilla Academy was my second home. I taught design and technology there from 2009 to 2018, mostly Year 9.
I coached the school's football team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Amparo
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Amparo: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
