Amira Duha Khalil
Coached volleyball for 31 years in Alexandria
- 🇪🇬 Alexandria, Alexandria, Egypt
- 1981 to 2012
- English
For 31 years I ran the volleyball program at Alexandria Athletic Club in Alexandria. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.

If you played for me, you probably remember the long bus ride home.

What gifts mean to Amira: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

You coached me in 1986. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Kanpur.
