Amira Asma Maalouf

Oil painting artist in Shubra

🇪🇬 Shubra, Cairo, Egypt
Little St. Mary's Studio
Since 1981
English, Arabic

I work mostly in oil painting, sometimes embroidery. My first show was in 1981 at Little St. Mary's Studio, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog. I also teach a weekly class at Little St. Mary's Studio, which keeps me honest.

What gifts mean to Amira: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.

I bought one of your pieces in 1987. It's still the first thing I see in the morning. Greetings from Hanoi.
