Amelia K. Patel
Youth gymnastics coach and mentor
- 🇺🇸 Los Angeles, California, United States
- Los Angeles Community Club
- 1980 to 2001
- English
For 21 years I ran the gymnastics program at Los Angeles Community Club in Los Angeles. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never once raised my voice.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Amelia
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Amelia: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
