I've coached wrestling at San Francisco Fairview Boxing Gym since 1984. Most of my players were between 12 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. My door was open at lunch.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
