I taught special education at Acacia Academy in Los Angeles from 1979 to 2011. Most days I taught the youngest children, and I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
I ran the drama society after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
