Amanuel Daniel Alemu
Thatching, done properly
- 🇪🇹 Adama, Oromia, Ethiopia
- Crown Trades Guild
- Since 1993
- English, Amharic
I've worked in thatching since 1993. I learned from my grandmother and passed what I could on to 1,320 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 18 years later for another job.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Amanuel
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Amanuel: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
