Amani Zawadi Mbwambo

Coached chess for 39 years in Arusha

  • 🇹🇿 Arusha, Arusha, Tanzania
  • Arusha Swimming Club
  • Since 1987
  • English, Swahili
I've coached chess at Arusha Swimming Club since 1987. Most of my players were between 11 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life. Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I'm learning the guitar.

More about Amani

I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.

What gifts mean to Amani: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
