I've spent 29 years as a lecturer in organic chemistry at Riverside University in Nairobi. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
What gifts mean to Amani: Any gift helps me keep buying books for students who can't afford them.
