Self-taught ceramics artist
- 🇰🇪 Embakasi, Nairobi, Kenya

- Since 1996
- English, Swahili
I work mostly in ceramics, sometimes mural painting. My first show was in 1996 at The Atlas Gallery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by my grandmother's kitchen. I'm always reading two books at once.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Amani
I've had 6 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.
