For 17 years I was the history teacher at Rio de Janeiro Boys' School. I taught teenagers and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I had 560 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
