My subject is political science, and for twelve years I got to share it with undergraduates at Belém Polytechnic.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I garden badly but happily.
More about Amanda
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
What gifts mean to Amanda: Gifts will go to a small travel fund for students presenting their first paper.
