I've worked in carpentry since 1986. I learned from my father and passed what I could on to 720 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I never rush a conversation.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Amal
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
What gifts mean to Amal: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
