I've coached wrestling at Aswan Jacaranda Boxing Gym since 1985. Most of my players were between 8 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I learn every name in the first week.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Amal
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Amal: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

I still think about the end-of-term party. Best summer of my life. Greetings from Seongnam.
