I coached swimming at Kano St. Joseph's Boxing Gym from 1981 to 2010. Most of my players were between 8 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I bake for the whole street at New Year.

What gifts mean to Amaka: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
