I taught design and technology at Southampton Primary School in Southampton from 1980 to 2007. Most days I taught Grade 8, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I had 1,540 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Alyssa
If you were in my Grade 8 class, you probably remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.
