I taught computer science at Los Angeles Secondary School in Los Angeles from 1981 to 2014. Most days I taught the youngest children, and I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
I coached the school's basketball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Álvaro
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the capital, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Álvaro: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
