Álvaro N. Velasco
Painter, potter and teacher at The Akron Pottery
- 🇺🇸 Akron, Ohio, United States
- The Akron Pottery
- Since 1992
- English
I work mostly in watercolor, sometimes embroidery. My first show was in 1992 at The Akron Pottery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I take the work seriously, though not myself. My studio is always a bit of a mess.

If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.
