I taught social studies at San Diego Middle School in San Diego from 2005 to 2013. Most days I taught teenagers, and my door was open at lunch.
I ran the debate team after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I walk the dog by the river.
More about Álvaro
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
