Eight years at Pioneer Reading Room
- 🇺🇸 Chicago, Illinois, United States
- 1985 to 1993
- English, Spanish
For eight years I looked after the shelves, the card catalog and the regulars at Pioneer Reading Room.
I ran the Saturday reading group and the summer reading challenge. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

What gifts mean to Álvaro: I'd put a gift toward a reading corner at the nearby school.
