Álvaro C. Torres
Accounting and biology teacher, Riverside
- 🇺🇸 Riverside, California, United States
- Riverside Middle School
- 2011 to 2025
- English, Spanish
I came to teaching late, after working as a night-shift cleaner, and 14 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I had 460 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Álvaro
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the old fort, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
