Alok A. Bhardwaj
Master of painting and decorating, now teaching apprentices
- 🇮🇳 Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India
- The Heritage Trades Guild
- Since 1981
- English
My trade is painting and decorating. I opened my own shop in 1981 in Chennai and I'm still there most mornings.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 24 years later for another job.
More about Alok
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Alok: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
