Alka T. Tiwari
30 years teaching history in Mumbai
- 🇮🇳 Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
- Mumbai Middle School
- Since 2001
- English, Hindi, Spanish
I teach history at Mumbai Middle School in Mumbai since 2001. Most days I teach Grade 6, and I learn every name in the first week.
Outside the classroom I bake for the whole street at New Year. Inside it, I learn every name in the first week.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Alka
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to Alka: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
